Wolf Parade are back!!!

with new album At Mount Zoomer

After three years, countless bands and endless collabs, our favourite Quebeckers are back. And by golly it’s good. Obviously veering off into quite a different direction musically, the band still have that recognisable solid rhythm and shaky vocals for which they’re known and loved. It certainly sounds like they’ve been practicing away in Arcade Fire‘s Montreal church and their own studio At Mount Zoomer, which coincidentally is their new album’s name. The album’s actually out today on Sub Pop, and I personally can’t freakin’ wait to hear it. Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade has been helping my friend Aria C Jalali with his awesome band Railcars (who you can expect a post on EMJ about soon!). Vocalist/keyboardist Spencer Krug says of the band, “It’s hard enough to get us all in the same room at the same time, so when we do get to write songs there isn’t really time for our egos to get in the way.” Check out two songs from the resulting At Mount Zoomer below.
