Teacups and Bear Cat live photos

PROM NIGHT!

On Friday night my favourite twee folk band, Teacups, played their first self-organised show at the Wine Cellar on K Rd with the astoundingly good Bear Cat. The Prom theme of the night meant that the bar was decked out in yellow balloons and fairy lights, and there was a even a portrait corner complete with a hand sewn backdrop, so that guests could get their photo taken. The crafty Teacups trio went all out with their beautiful ball dresses, and even crowned a prom king and queen on the night. It was probably one of the stronger sets I’ve seen by the band yet, who were un-phased by the random poppings of balloons, taunts from attendees and the swelling numbers in the venue. I’m so proud of these girls, who go from strength to strength at every one of their shows. Expect a post on them soon! But for now, check out the rest of the live pics from the night, including photos of Bear Cat, who played a particularly strong and theatrical set. There’s nothing like twee, panda/tea love.
