Be Your Own Pet has today announced they will be breaking up as a band after their upcoming UK tour. In a message on the band’s website, the band had this to say:
“To all our fans,
We are sad to bring you the news that our upcoming shows in the UK are going to be our last as a band. We thank you for all your love and support these past few years – it’s been a blast but the time has come for the 4 of us to go our separate ways.”
Einstein Music Journal think it’s a tragedy that such a talented young band is going to be lost to the music world forever. However some people don’t seem so disappointed, check out some of these comments below from people on the Brooklyn Vegan website.

“Now we just need Care Bears On Fire, Tiny Masters of Today and Fiasco gone and we won’t have to deal with rich little kids who only get record deals and attention because of their parents’ connections.”

COYH new single sounds like a christmas jingle.
BYOP were one of the few young bands around the world that actually did something their own way.
