It was late, but that was out of our control, blame Chris Knox. Thanks to Holiday With Friends and Sharpie Crows for coming all the way from Wellington and thanks to Wilberforces and Soft Shoe. All the bands lived up to their reputations and hopefully went away with a few more fans. I had people come up to me and say they really enjoyed Soft Shoe and Wilberforces and I had an email this morning saying that Sharpie Crows were great. Unfortunately sitting on the door meant I didn’t see a lot of those three bands, but I managed to slip away to see a few songs from each band. I did manage to enjoy the entire Holiday With Friends set and can happily say that the two new members in the band do them well. I was hugely impressed with the new surf guitar style they seem to have adopted and have to admit it was very nice to hear new songs from them.
