Take The Golden Key

Trying to do research on a band like The Golden Filter is extremely frustrating.  Who ever is behind the project is a shy doe; they prefer their music to conjure all the attention while their identity remains a mystery. In mid 2008 they released their first hit single ‘Solid Gold’ and somehow managed to avoid spilling any secrets; despite the track gaining a reasonable amount of blog hype. More recently though the band has started gaining attention for their stellar remixes of the likes of Peter, Bjorn and John and Cut Copy, and pressure must be mounting on them to step into the spotlight.

What we do know about The Golden Filter is that they are based in New York City and make nu-wave electro similar to Simian Mobile Disco and The Presets. On New Years eve 2008 they performed alongside HeartsRevolution in New York and it has just been announced that The Golden Filter will tour North America throughout March and April 2009 with The Presets. They are one of the more exciting dance acts around at the moment, I expect this is just the beginning for The Golden Filter.
