It’s Not Over Just Yet

It wasn’t that long ago that Clap Your Hands Say Yeah announced a long term hiatus for the band, but that seems to have been put to rest after the band released a new demo on their website today. The band promised fans that they would release the new song directly following their Wednesday night performance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, where they performed the new song titled ‘Statues’ for the first time.

On their myspace page CYHSY wrote “It’s a song that we may work on some more in the future”, giving fans hope that the band will continue with plans for a new album. The new song is very cool but is slightly less experimental than their older material. The bass line remains a highlight and singer Alec Ounsworth’s vocals are still as poignant ever, signalling the band will not be making any drastic changes to their overall sound.
