Scarred Zombie Punks

Fuzzy, distorted experimental post punk that’s not trying hard to fit in with the cool kids. The Hairdos have been going quietly about their business, playing a few live shows in venues and house parties throughout Auckland. We caught them a few months ago playing what was apparently their first real show and were very impressed with their energy and band dynamic. With Luke (Vodafone Warriors) on bass guitar/vocals, Renee on keys/backing vocals and Liz on drums, the band bashes out a perfect blend of old fashioned punk rock and new-wave. They’re still very new and relatively unknown and in May they are heading South to play shows in Wanganui and Wellington with some other like minded bands. If you get the opportunity you should check them out, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
