Matt & Kim Naked

Check out the brand new video from Brooklyn, New York’s electro indie favourites Matt & Kim. The video for their song ‘Lessons Learned’ features the pair stripping off naked in front of a crowd of people on the New York side walk, before being harassed by police. The first two minutes of the video is a single shot, similar to The Verve’s ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’, until Matt & Kim start undressing and freeing themselves.

It’s the second Matt & Kim video that is bound to cause controversy in America. Their video for ’5K’ was deemed to violent for American television and was banned.  In the video the pair rip each others limbs off and throw them into the audience. Some members of the  audience also attack each other and at the end they all fall dead. It’s pretty cool though, America just needs to lighten up.

Last week I had a chat on the phone with Matt about their upcoming New Zealand tour and a few other interesting things. That interview will be on the site next week. Sarah just reviewed Matt & Kim’s album Grand, so check that out (link below). EMJ loves Matt & Kim right now!
