Cat Woman On The Move
Catcall has long been one of my favourite hip-hop artists, and is probably one the best hip hop artists in Australia, umm, ever! For the last few months she has been hard at work recording her debut album, which should be ready for release around August. Until then she says that she is not playing any live shows, but when she does again, she promises “something incredible is going to happen.” She sent out a message yesterday announcing her brand new video, for the song ‘Bad Move Baby’. The song is a collaboration between her and Sydney producer Mailer Daemon which was recorded in mid-2008. The video, produced and directed by Courtney D sees Catcall prancing around Sydney streets wearing a cat mask and looking very stylish (or should I say staunch). She also has a brand new website which she regularly updates. It looks as though she’s recently become a fan of US television drama Big Love.
You can watch the video above and download the track below. In a few months time you might even hear that debauched group of girls playing it down at Cassette.
