North Carolina recently bought us Birds Of Avalon, now South Carolina brings us Washed Out. Ernest Green is the name behind the music, putting a wonky twist on bedroom pop, filling it with dance beats and coating it in whimsical keyboard licks that sound more suited to a tropical heat wave than in a sweaty nightclub. His ’80s influenced disco pop gives off a sweet summer time vibe, laid hard with icy cold vocals to give it a chilled out, sun soaked quality.
