47 Diamantes is Gemma “Minty Fresh” Syme (Holiday With Friends, Diana Rozz) and Kelvin “Shorty K” Neal (Holiday With Friends, The Crackhouse 5). Combining catchy glam electro and nu-rave disco elements with old school punk vibes, the duo adds a fresh, meaty slice of conviction and determination to the local scene. Their songs are varied; ‘What Became Of Us’ is an intensely catchy, glistening post-love song riddled with cascading synths and bombastic beats, while ‘Mixed Emotions’ is scarily aggressive, squelchy swamp electro, like a nintendo console dripping with sewage. With eep! productions, they conceived the video for ‘What Became Of Us’ on Friday, filmed it on Saturday, edited it on Sunday and released it today (Monday)! Check it out below, it’s awesome.
