Dark indeed, like a semi-colon crossed with an X. Briana Edwards is a haunted soul, making spacey, drone-fuelled noise with depth and elasticity. She creeps quietly towards musical osmosis fusing concrete noise and melting harmonics, using her voice as a tool to propel her music out of the shadows. Similar in sound to Grouper, Glasser and Pocahaunted, Dark Circles reaches out to the spirit within, appealing to those with a craving for late night doom and dreamy enlightenment.
Live, Briana is occasionally joined by her sister Mikele, Kyle Page and Anthony Perrett. She is yet to release any recordings so you’ll have to listen to the tracks on her myspace or catch her live in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
