Einstein Music Journal (EMJ) is a New Zealand-based music blog started by writers Nick Fulton and Sarah Gooding. The website originated from Nick’s blog named Einstein, Disguised as Robin Hood (started in 2006), after a line from Bob Dylan’s ‘Desolation Row’. In 2008 Nick and Sarah launched EMJ and the pair now co-own the website

Einstein Music Journal is now New Zealand’s foremost music blog, with readers from all over the world. Writing from EMJ has been quoted in Rolling Stone, New York magazine and Artrocker.com and the pair has appeared on numerous radio programmes including Breakthru Radio in New York City and Radio New Zealand.

In 2008 Nick and Sarah hosted a weekly radio show on Auckland’s 95bFM and throughout 2009 made regular weekly appearances on Christchurch’s RDU98.5FM and Wellington’s VBC 88.3FM.

Nick and Sarah’s writing has also been published in Noisey, i-D, Complex, Pitchfork, Impose, Spook, NO.Magazine, Real Groove, REMIX, New Zealand Herald, CMJ, Girlfriend, Groove Guide, Tally Ho! and Subject.

Sarah has worked as an editor and writer for New Zealand Fashion Week and as a sub-editor at New Zealand Woman’s Weekly.
